A compromised moderator account can do a lot of damage. A banned member can return with another account. Discortics 3.3.0 adds two tools to help with both: Anti-Nuke and Advanced Verification.
There are also new privacy controls, invite leaderboards, and fixes for the everyday flows your server already uses.
TL;DR
- Anti-Nuke: Set limits on destructive actions, contain the account responsible, and attempt supported recovery.
- Advanced Verification: Screen restricted networks, with optional alt checks enabled by default.
- Premium appeals: Let blocked members ask staff for review, with optional join DMs and configurable account-switch cooldowns.
- Privacy: Start confirmed account deletion from Discord or the dashboard and follow its progress.
- Invite leaderboards: Rank members by real, fake, total, or left invites, including Sticky Leaderboards on Prime and Custom.
- Everyday fixes: Safer role settings, better handling of temporary Discord errors, and reaction GIFs.
Anti-Nuke watches administrative actions
Anti-Nuke covers 22 categories, including bans, kicks, channel and role deletion, dangerous permission changes, bot additions, and emoji deletion.
Each protection has its own rolling limits and punishment. You can remove an actor's removable roles, combine that with a timeout, or choose Kick, Soft Ban, or Ban. Mixed Actions limits also catch an account spreading activity across several enabled protections.
Supported recovery can recreate deleted resources or reverse certain changes. Numbered moderation cases show what happened and which recovery steps succeeded, so staff can see what still needs attention.
Anti-Nuke starts off. Open /autopilot antinuke, ;antinuke, or Dashboard → Moderator → AntiNuke to configure it. Activation requires Administrator and the highest bot role. The server owner can assign up to three dedicated admin roles to help manage protection.
Optional Panic mode temporarily restricts dangerous permissions when several accounts independently cross protection limits. It can help contain a coordinated attack while staff respond.
Discord reports administrative actions after they happen. Anti-Nuke cannot promise zero damage, and recovery cannot restore everything. Review the limits and role hierarchy before enabling it.
Advanced Verification adds account and network checks
Captcha and Password modes remain available. Advanced is a third option for servers that need more than a correct answer before granting access.
Members open a private link from your verification panel, sign in with the matching Discord account, and review the disclosure before continuing. Discortics runs a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge and screens for listed VPNs, Tor exits, datacenter networks, and iCloud Private Relay ranges. Alt checks are on by default and add browser/device signals for account matching.
Turn Alt checks off in Dashboard → Verification or Alt Checks in /verify settings to keep network screening and Turnstile without collecting a browser fingerprint or storing new IP/device matching signals. Members complete this check on each new server entry unless whitelisted.
With alt checks on, verification records can link accounts across participating servers. Each server then checks whether another linked account is present, currently banned, or within its departure cooldown. Members can use different accounts in different servers; having another account does not automatically prevent verification everywhere.
With alt checks on, Public uses a 14-day account-switch cooldown. Returning with the same account does not trigger that wait. Prime and Custom can choose a cooldown from 0 to 365 days.
Network and device matches can be wrong, particularly on shared connections or similar devices. Changing browsers can also change the signals. Staff can review a rejection and grant a server-only whitelist where appropriate.
Advanced Verification is available on Public, Prime, and Custom. Start with the verification guide.
Give members a way to appeal
Prime and Custom can enable Advanced Verification appeals. Members can send a message of up to 200 characters from Discord or the verification page, and staff can approve or reject it from the verification log.
You can choose up to three roles to notify and separately enable join DMs. Appeals do not grant access automatically or extend a rejection deadline. The member sees the applicable deadline and consequence, while staff keep control of the decision.
Clearer privacy controls
Use /privacy, ;privacy, or Dashboard → Privacy to start account deletion. The dashboard explains the consequences before confirmation and shows whether cleanup is queued, processing, blocked, or completed. Submitting a request does not mean deletion has finished.
Deletion removes stored account data and verification access. A minimal account-ID and expiry record restricts bot verification for three months from confirmation. Active subscriptions or custom bots may need cancellation, release, or transfer first; the confirmation also explains the loss of lifetime Premium access.
When alt checks are on, Advanced Verification stores keyed HMAC-SHA-256 hashes for both IP and browser/device fingerprint matching. Verification records also contain Discord account and server IDs, verification state, and timestamps. They do not contain raw IP addresses, raw browser observations, GPS coordinates, city, country, or location history. Our browser check does not request location permission. Cloudflare separately processes connection and challenge data.
Those hashes are still personal data linked to a Discord account. Proofs are retained during membership in participating Advanced servers with alt checks on, then for one year after the last participating membership ends. Turning alt checks off stops new matching-signal storage for that server; it does not immediately delete existing proofs. Verification without alt checks still stores state and timestamps, with separate server history retained for up to 365 days.
Read the privacy policy and data rights page for the scope, retention, and copies outside automated cleanup.
Invite leaderboards and smaller improvements
Invite rankings now join the other Discord leaderboards. Use /info leaderboards and choose Invites, or open ;lb i. Switch between real, fake, total, and left invite counts. Prime and Custom can also publish these as daily-updating Sticky Leaderboards.
Other changes in 3.3.0 include:
- Muted-role and auto-role checks reject unsafe roles and provide clearer setup guidance.
- Sticky messages, Sticky Leaderboards, ticket panels, and giveaway checks distinguish temporary lookup failures from confirmed missing resources more carefully.
- Booster announcements stop retrying a destination after a confirmed Missing Permissions error and show why setup needs attention.
- Suggestions and Confessions panel reconciliation skips confirmed missing channels without preventing other panels from being handled.
- Explicit anime results require an age-restricted channel, including the parent channel check for threads.
- Reaction GIFs are available through
/fun gifsand;gifs. - Dashboard entity lists handle stale cache entries more reliably, and dependencies have received security updates.
Start with Moderator → AntiNuke to review administrative protection, then Verification to choose the checks that fit your community.
