Fun Module

Add lightweight games, prompts, memes, jokes, and AFK status to everyday server conversation.

A practical walkthrough

5 min read · Updated Aug 21, 2026

The Fun module gives members casual ways to interact with Discortics. It includes prompts and entertainment commands such as /fun 8ball, /fun afk, /fun gifs, /fun joke, /fun meme, /fun topic, and /snipe.

Quick setup

  1. Choose a casual channel, such as #bot-commands or #off-topic.
  2. Allow /fun there with /settings command target:fun.
  3. Deny it in support, announcement, log, and staff-only channels.
  4. Enable /snipe separately only if staff need it.

Use It Well

  • There is no module setup panel.
  • Put casual commands in #bot-commands or #off-topic.
  • Keep game output away from support, announcements, and moderation work.

Set Channel Boundaries

  1. Run /settings command target:fun to control the full module, or target one command.
  2. Set the server default, then allow or deny users, roles, channels, or categories.
  3. For AFK notices, allow community channels and exclude busy logs or staff queues.

Snipe Deleted Messages

  1. An administrator enables it through /settings command target:snipe.
  2. Allow only members who need it; members also need View Channel and Read Message History.
  3. Restrict it to moderators when deleted messages could be sensitive.
  • Snipe shows only the latest cached deletion in the current channel, not a permanent archive.
  • It cannot be used in the configured confession channel.
  • URLs, email addresses, attachment links, and attachment previews are redacted.
